Joke of the day: How did the pirate get his ship for so cheap?
- Answer down the bottom

Hi Manjula,
Good morning! Hope we are well with this winter creeping in - making the morning extra cozy! It's that time again to grab the coffee and settle in for some dad jokes and positive goodness with the monthly 💌 Positive Post 📫 from us at the Positive Vibes Foundation, your local Hills charity. Let's catch up!
To kick us off in honour of National Volunteer Week which had just passed - we want to say a big thank you to all our volunteers – the ladies who run THWS, all our Paw Visits volunteers (the humans and their fur babies) who visit the nursing homes, Alex our green thumb garden caretaker, all those on the YHMF committee, those helping with UPmarket and all the officers (Juanita) and directors who are also volunteers and work tirelessly to make sure PVF runs smoothly.

PVF were at the Norwest Rotary Wellbeing and Mental Health Connect Day. It was on 3rd March at the Harvey Lowe Pavilion in Castle Hill Showground for the community to discover local support groups in the Hills. There were talks from local psychologists, support groups leaders and more, and it showcased a variety of mental health organisations, support groups and other wellbeing options in the Hills.
Many came to our table to find out about us, and we loved making new connections with the community.

Mario also gave a presentation at his BNI Chapter on PVF. It covered what mental health was, with some examples, and showed why PVF was much needed to keep the community mentally healthy. We're honoured to say that Positive Vibes is one of 11 charities in the Collective who benefited. BNI is the largest and most successful business referral networking organisation in the world and Positive Vibes is proud to be a part of it.
Also, our Young Healthy Minds Forum recap! Held on Thursday 4th May at the
Australian International Academy (AIA) in North Kellyville. There were 140 students from 9 schools. What they took with them would impact their family, friends, school community and the whole community.
Our Young Healthy Minds Forum is an engaging and energetic forum focused on supporting the mental health of high school students by reducing stigma, increasing their knowledge and informing young people where and how to obtain the help they need. Positive Vibes Foundation collaborated with others to present a day program which aims to address these issues in a non-confrontational, enjoyable fashion and includes lived experience speakers and a Q&A panel of mental health specialists to answer questions.
The lived experience speaker was Matt Caruana who shared his mental health journey. He’s a young man who tried to take his life at the age of 16. He survived but is now in a wheelchair and an inspirational speaker.
Our thanks to our supporters AIA, Castle Hill Rotary, Kellyville Private Hospital, Hills Shire Council.
