Joke of the day: What is the best present?
- Answer down the bottom

Hi Mario,
Good morning! Welcoming some old and some new readers who've joined within recent times. Either way we're so glad and if you're reading this we're so happy to connect with our monthly 💌 Positive Post 📫 from us at the Positive Vibes Foundation, your local Hills charity.
Get a coffee, some bickies, and let's catch up!

Happy snaps incoming of the Positive Vibes team and volunteers grilling up some goodness at Castle Hill Bunnings.

This was a great day partaking in the iconic Bunnings sausage sizzle which raised a significant amount we're so thankful for - and a big thank you to Bunnings, friends of the foundation. Don't be fooled this photo was in a rare quiet moment of an otherwise very hectic day of many mouths lining up. By the feedback everyone loved our bbq skills, we cooked the snags just perfect, and we have a consensus that surprisingly a lot of people love onions.
If you're ever keen to volunteer with us for community events like this or similar down the line, stay with us we'll keep you updated!

Get the pens and diaries out, as we're stoked to announce our upcoming annual PVF Gala Dinner is to be held on - Saturday 12th October. A night of food, fun and fundraising! Details as it is now: at Castle Hill RSL, and loads in store.
Speaker is Timana Tahu, league and rugby player, entertainer is artist Brad Blaze who will paint several pictures to be auctioned on the night, including one of Taylor Swift.
Stay tunes here and our FB for more details as they come, and as usual we're always open
and grateful to sponsor requests/donations - contact.

An update on Brooke Collins OAM, one of our directors, who had registered for March On under PVF’s banner. Brooke successfully raised $714.00! Onya!
This march was to support and raise funds for Soldier On's life-changing mental health services and programs so that our returned ADF members and their families can march on. You can read more about it here.
"I'm doing this to help the many thousands of brave war heroes who have been impacted mentally in ways we will never understand and the sacrifices they made in allowing us the freedom we share all today. Their courage and sacrifices can never be understated and given the hellish conditions they would have encountered in Kokoda and in remembrance I will walk/run 384kms in remembrance, and in doing so, I hope I can help prevent and reduce veteran suicides" - Brooke.

Lastly, our beloved Paw Visits program. The Positive Vibes Paw Visits program sees volunteers stop by various aged care homes with their furry pals in tow, putting a smile on residents’ faces.
We have started taking our dogs to Cranbrook Care at Bella Vista Gardens. The volunteers are Melissa with her japoodle, Bailey; Elisa and Jurgen with their border collie, Benny; and Swina with her japoodle, Brandon (Bailey and Brandon are brothers).
We are looking for more homes to go to as well as fur friends + volunteers - contact us.

Lastly, introducing the Positive Mindset Challenge for the newsletter.
|
|
|
Last months challenge was: Make a moment for someone else.
We heard some lovely entries, so highlighting one is: "Was shopping at my local and saw a mum overwhelmed with their baby crying. Went over and said she's doing great and it gets better. Made her smile for a moment" - Annette
Next one is: Treat yourself to the small things. What that can mean? Anything that brings a sparkle to your day and is just for you. Maybe you go out of your way to get a manicure, get that snack or dinner you love, have the afternoon off just to binge a good book - we're here for it.
If you have a moment you'd like to then share with
the community, do click below - we'd love to relay some memorable ones perhaps in a future newsletter.
