Joke of the day: What's orange and sounds like a parrot?

- Answer down the bottom

Hi 116,104,101,114,101,

It's your favourite foundation friends checking in with our ๐Ÿ’Œ Positive Post ๐Ÿ“ญ keen to grace your inbox yet again with the latest and greatest from us to you.

Phew, It's been a month. We're well and truly into the new year now but with that we've made some exciting moves which will see us able to see more of your faces in the future. As previously mentioned the wall at our Hills Women's Shed has been knocked down (woohoo!) allowing us with more room for visitors and activities, and the re-opening of our new and improved community garden.

We hope you like it and do drop in to have a look if you weren't able to see it last Saturday.

I don't think we could have asked for a more picture perfect weather day.

Garden plants and vege patches out of frame but it is glorious!

The event for our Garden Open Day went so well as we were glad to host people in the community and leaders coming to see the new garden. Councillors Rosemarie Boneham, Ryan Tracey, and Mitchell Blue came down to our premises also and were impressed with the veggies, succulents and cactus garden. We presented a gift card to our wonderful volunteer Alex Johansen who was the one working tirelessly designing and creating the garden beds, nurturing the seedlings to make our garden as beautiful as it is now.

A special thank you shout out also to Jessica from Bunnings Castle Hill, and all those who helped and made the day as memorable as it was. We appreciate you all and are so excited to utilise this space for more exciting things to come!

- More pics from the day on our FB page so do have a peek!

One to mark in the calendar for the month of May - we will be hosting a library talk at Castle Hill Library (in lieu of our Shed Activities) to discuss "Wellbeing for Life - staying Active for Mental Health".

We'd love to invite you and anyone from our wonderful charity community to attend this event, as we can discuss how being active is important for your physical health but it is just as important for your mental health. Join us to learn how exercise can lead to better mental health, improve sleep, manage stress and improve emotional wellbeing.

Details and link here: Castle Hill Library, 10:30am - 11:30am, Thursday 4th May.

  • Norwest is holding a Community Connect Dayon Sunday 30 April at the Harvey Lowe Pavilion in the Castle Hill Showground, from 11am to 3pm.
