Joke of the day: What do you call a werewolf that doesn't know it's a werewolf?

- Answer down the bottom

Hi 116,104,101,114,101,

It's that time again checking in with our 💌 Positive Post 📭 as we march into a new month and welcome our new friends of the foundation (if you are one - greetings!) and what we have in store coming up.

To kick us off - what a night our annual Fashion Parade fundraiser was!

It was such a success (sold out!) as we all came together for dinner, drinks and fashion - with funds raised to continue to support the programs of our  Hills Women's Shed

Our Strong Women Program continues with many activities planned including knitting blankets for disadvantaged, tai chi for mental health, community garden and our popular succulent days, more collaboration with other organisations including ndis and care providers, and continuing with our popular craft and cooking activities.

Peep us too in the latest addition of The Hills to Hawkesbury:

Our Young Healthy Minds forum is on Thursday 4th May and we have room for a few more schools. This is a very engaging and interactive forum for high school students to learn more about positive mental health. We have a lived experience speaker, Matt Caruana, well known for turning his life around after attempting suicide at the age of 16.

If anyone knows of teachers in high schools who may be interested in this free forum for their students, feel free to drop us a line at info@positivevibes.org.au

  • In other exciting updates - we're in the process soon of knocking down a wall at our Balcombe Heights location. This will enlarge the premises for our activities and accommodating more attendee's so we'll keep you updated with this.

  • Our friends from the Australian Community Inspired Association (ACIA) visited us at The Hills Women's Shed for morning tea and were so kind to donated to us. It was a day of enjoying listening to everyone’s stories about how they found our Shed and why they keep coming to our events. Everyone agreed that our shed is a safe place where they find friendship, kindness, laughter and love!

  • Also, our community garden opening day is on the 15th April coming up!
We'd love to see you there, and do feel free to follow us on FB for any further details.

Mental health tip of the month:
